What is a school integrated programme?
A school integrated programme (SIP) combines the board syllabus with preparation for competitive exams — JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET, KCET and other state CETs, CUET and Olympiads — inside the regular school day. Students prepare in one place, on one timetable, with one set of teachers accountable for the result.
The school stays in charge of teaching and of the student relationship. A programme partner supplies what most schools cannot build alone: a chapter-by-chapter academic plan, ready-to-teach lesson material, diagnostic tests, expert faculty for the hardest topics, and the data to show leadership where every section stands.
Managements are looking at integrated programmes for three reasons that keep coming up in our conversations with principals:
- Students are split between two systems. School in the morning, coaching in the evening, and exhaustion in both.
- Results are credited elsewhere. When a student clears JEE or NEET through an outside centre, the school’s name rarely appears on the hoarding.
- Admissions now follow competitive outcomes. Parents increasingly choose a school, or a PU college, by what it can deliver for JEE, NEET and KCET.
81% of school students name studies, exams and results as a major cause of anxiety.

Most schools land in one of three arrangements. Each has a real place; the right choice depends on who you want accountable for results and whose brand you want on them.
| Outside coaching / dummy school | Coaching institute on campus | School Integrated Programme | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who teaches | Coaching centre faculty, after school | Institute faculty, in school slots | The school’s own teachers, with national faculty for the hardest topics |
| Timetable | Two timetables, extra travel | Separate batches inside school hours | One timetable; prep fits into existing periods |
| Whose brand on results | The coaching centre | Usually shared, often the institute | The school |
| Data the principal sees | Little or none | Institute reports | Weekly chapter-wise dashboard for every section |
| Teacher development | None for school staff | Limited | Built in: lesson packs, training and in-class support |
The integrated model asks more of the school — its teachers deliver most of the instruction — and in return the school keeps the students, the evidence and the credit.
How the AcademicX 80/20 model works
AcademicX Campus runs an integrated programme built on one rule: your teachers deliver 80% of instruction, national faculty cover the 20% of topics that move results most.
- Embed. School teachers teach from ready-to-teach packs — period plans, worked examples, practice tiers, common-error notes and revision sheets — so nobody builds material at night.
- Elevate. For the highest-impact chapters, national faculty run live masterclasses directly into your classrooms, with your teacher in the room.
- Evidence. Weekly diagnostics and monthly mocks feed a leadership dashboard: chapter heatmaps by section, students needing support, and parent reports sent from the school.
The programme spans Grades 1–12: Foundation Spark (Grades 1–5, coming soon), Achiever Track (Grades 6–10) and Launchpad Pro (Grades 11–12, with JEE, NEET, KCET, MHT-CET and CUET tracks). See the programme details.
Fitting JEE and NEET preparation into the school timetable
The most common worry we hear is time: “We cannot add periods.” An integrated programme should not need to. The work is in mapping, not adding:
- Align the sequence. Board and competitive syllabi overlap heavily in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Teaching chapters in an order that serves both removes most of the duplication.
- Raise the depth, not the hours. The same period covers the board concept and then the competitive-level problem set from the pack.
- Use tests as teaching. Short weekly diagnostics replace long, infrequent unit tests and tell the teacher what to re-teach.
- Reserve remedial slots. Students flagged by diagnostics move into small remedial groups instead of falling behind silently.

For Karnataka schools and PU colleges: KCET, JEE and NEET together
Karnataka adds a third exam to the plan. KCET, conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), is set on the First and Second PUC syllabus, so a PU college that teaches the board syllabus well is already most of the way there — provided students also practise CET-style speed and accuracy.
For engineering ranks, KEA has combined the CET score with the student’s Second PUC marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, which means board performance and CET performance count together. Medical and dental seats are allotted through NEET. An integrated plan lets one team prepare a student for all three without three separate coaching arrangements. See the KCET exam pattern and previous year papers.
What the first 90 days look like
- Onboarding. Teachers onboarded, baseline test conducted, learning platform activated. To the principal: a baseline readiness report.
- Delivery begins. Daily classes inside the timetable; the first national masterclass delivered. To the principal: attendance and participation snapshot.
- Remediation. Weekly diagnostics and remedial groups underway; parent communication begins. To the principal: an interim progress note.
- First mock. A full-length mock on the real pattern, with consolidated outcomes shared with leadership. To the principal: a mock dashboard and subject-wise heatmap.
10 questions to ask any integrated programme partner
Whether you choose AcademicX Campus or anyone else, ask these before you sign. A good partner answers each one with something you can see, not a promise.
- Who teaches which share of the syllabus, and who is accountable for each chapter?
- Do our teachers get material for every period, or only a syllabus and a question bank?
- Can we see a sample teaching pack and a recorded masterclass before deciding?
- How often are students tested, and what exactly does the principal see each week?
- Whose name appears on results, toppers’ photos and admission material?
- How does the programme fit our existing timetable without adding periods?
- What happens when one of our teachers leaves mid-year?
- How and how often are parents informed about their child’s progress?
- What does the per-student fee include, and what costs extra?
- What evidence will we have after 90 days that it is working?
Questions people ask
What is in-school coaching?
In-school coaching means JEE, NEET, KCET and Olympiad preparation delivered inside the school day, on the school campus, as part of the timetable, instead of at an outside coaching centre after school. A school integrated programme is the structured way to run it.
What is a school integrated programme (SIP)?
A school integrated programme combines the board syllabus with preparation for competitive exams such as JEE, NEET, KCET, CUET and Olympiads inside the regular school timetable, so students prepare in one place instead of splitting their day between school and an outside coaching centre.
Is a school integrated programme the same as a dummy school?
No. In a dummy school the student is enrolled but effectively studies at a coaching centre. In a school integrated programme the student attends school normally, and competitive preparation happens inside the school, taught largely by the school’s own teachers.
Does an integrated programme add extra hours to the school day?
It should not. A well-designed programme re-sequences chapters so board and competitive preparation overlap, raises the depth of existing periods, and uses short weekly diagnostics and remedial groups instead of extra classes.
Can CBSE and state board schools run JEE and NEET coaching in school?
Yes. AcademicX Campus supports CBSE and state board schools, including Karnataka PU colleges preparing students for KCET alongside JEE and NEET, and the programme is aligned to NEP 2020.
Who teaches in the AcademicX integrated programme?
The school’s own teachers deliver about 80% of instruction using ready-to-teach packs. National faculty deliver live masterclasses for the 20% of high-impact topics, with the school’s teacher in the classroom.
How much does a school integrated programme cost?
AcademicX Campus works on a per-student academic partnership: one fee covers teaching packs, masterclasses, teacher training, diagnostics and remedials, dashboards, parent reports and an academic support team. We share the figure for your grades and strength in the consultation.
How quickly can a school start?
The programme follows a 90-day start: onboarding and a baseline test, then daily classes and the first masterclass, then weekly diagnostics and remedial groups, then the first full-length mock with a leadership dashboard.
